A series of milestones throughout the history of Electra Link.

May 1985

Company Founded

Electra Link was founded on May 6,1985. Ernie was a journeyman electrician in 1985. With his background in the electrical field and providing service throughout the Houston metroplex, he was presented an opportunity to expand into the network cabling specialty side and open his own business. With one customer and a drive to succeed Electra Link saw its beginning.

May 1985

The Start

Electra Link had its beginning working out of Ernie’s house in 1985 and was operated here until 1987. Starting out with offering Structured Cabling services.

1986

The Boat Shed

From 1986 to 1987 the company was growing and needed a more capable space to store material and added this piece of property, known as the “The Boat Shed”.

1990-2002

Larger Commercial Space

From 1990-2002 Electra Link had to move into a much larger commercial space to accommodate its growth. During this time, Electra Link also opened its operations in Austin,1997, and Dallas in 1999. We stayed in this building for 12 years until we built our first corporate headquarters in Spring, TX.

2002-2016

More Growth

In 2002 Electra Link moved into its current location in Spring. Over the years in this location, we have continued to grow and initiated a few more company milestones: – Started our Audio-Visual department in 2004 – Expanded our operations into San Antonio in 2005 – Expanded our operation into College Station in 2015 – We rebranded our logo in 2016 to our current logo.

January 2025

Employee Owned

As of January 2025, Electra Link has transitioned to being employee-owned and operated. Ernie D’Antoni has established Electra Link on the pillars of integrity, safety, productivity, and quality. As we enter this new chapter, our team remains committed to delivering the quality and service that our customers know and love.
